Gianturco on Props. 111, 108

It was disappointing to see the dreaded name of Adriana Gianturco gracing your pages again. This Boston resident has not learned yet the irreparable damage she did to us in her tenure at Caltrans, nor has she learned that fixed-rail rapid transit does not work in a decentralized and multi-center city. She hasn’t even learned that buses on the freeways are flexible, and can carry people to the beaches on weekends, and to work on weekdays.

Every Saturday morning as I sit in gridlock on an exterior freeway, I shout “Adriana Gianturco.” Granted, it does have a mellifluous sound, but the lady is still trying to force her Eastern views on California.
