IN BRIEF : Girls Incorporated Seeking Past Members

Share

Girls Incorporated, the national youth service organization that recently changed its name from Girls Clubs of America Inc., is mounting a nationwide search for past members.

According to Margaret Gates, national executive director, former members with success stories “provide excellent role models for the 250,000 girls and young women who are currently members of the more than 200 local centers affiliated with Girls Incorporated.”

The organization, which celebrates its 45th anniversary this year, has been praised by psychologists, sociologists and adolescent experts, says Gates, for its variety of programs ranging from pregnancy prevention to health and drug information.
