17-Year-Old Dies After Shooting in Van Nuys
A 17-year-old boy died during emergency surgery early Saturday morning after being shot in Van Nuys, police said.
Anthony Saiz of Van Nuys was discovered at 11:45 p.m. Friday on the sidewalk in the 6800 block of Woodman Avenue, bleeding from a mid-torso wound, police said. He died five hours later.
Witnesses told police that they heard several gunshots and saw two males running from the scene. Authorities are not sure if the shooting was gang-related.
