California IN BRIEF : FRESNO : Man Guilty After Wife Falls From Cliff
A former Navy man was convicted Friday of killing his wife, who tumbled to her death from a cliff in Yosemite National Park. Stevie Allen Gray faces life in prison without possibility of parole at sentencing Sept. 10 in U.S. District Court in Fresno. Gray was accused of killing his wife, Dolores, in December, 1987, to collect a $500,000 insurance policy he bought shortly before her death. The fall and death initially were considered an accident, but the FBI began investigating after learning of the large insurance policy.
