Memorial Slated for Howard Duff

A memorial service for actor Howard Duff, who died early Monday after a heart attack in Santa Barbara, will be conducted July 20, at 4:30 p.m. at the Writer’s Guild Theater, 135 S. Doheny, Beverly Hills. Elliott Reed, who worked with Duff on his “Adventures of Sam Spade” radio show, will be the master of ceremonies and John Ireland will speak.

Duff’s family has asked that any memorial donations be made to Direct Relief International, (which provides disaster relief and sends medical supplies to third world countries), P.O. Box 41929, Santa Barbara, Calif. 93140, or to the Santa Barbara Humane Society, 5399 Overpass Road, Santa Barbara, Calif. 93111.
