Collectors Show Is in the Cards for Convention Center
The Anaheim Convention Center will be the site of the 12th National Sports Collectors Convention next summer.
A proposal to bring the convention to Anaheim was approved at the 1990 national convention held earlier this month in Arlington, Tex.
The convention will be July 4-7, 1991.
Promoters Jack Petruzzelli and his wife, Patti, put together the proposal to bring the 1991 convention to Orange County. The Petruzzellis, from Fullerton, have been involved in promoting card collectors shows in Orange County for the past 10 years, including the Memorial Day and Labor Day shows. In 1985, they were co-promoters of the national convention held at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim.
San Diego was the other site under consideration.
