San Diego
Police have arrested a suspect in the slaying of a 20-year-old San Diego man 11 days ago, police spokesman Bill Robinson said.
Alfonso Ruiz, 58, of the 900 block of Glendale Avenue, was taken into custody about 7 a.m. Tuesday in the murder of Ruben Zenteno, Robinson said.
Zenteno was killed as he stood near the intersection of 26th Street and Broadway on July 7, Robinson said.
“He was just talking to a friend when he was shot,” Robinson said.
Police did not comment on the motive for the crime.
