Union Pacific Corp.: The railroad, energy and real estate firm said second-quarter profit rose 1% to $153 million. Sales totaled $1.8 billion, up 10% from the same period a year ago. The Bethlehem, Pa., company credited a 2% increase in rail loadings and a 40% rise in natural gas production.
