Losses on this year’s Goodwill Games probably will approach the $26-million deficit suffered on the inaugural 1986 Goodwill Games in Moscow, Ted Turner told shareholders of Turner Broadcasting System. Losses on the 1990 games were originally projected to be about $13 million.

The Turner Broadcasting board of directors will decide whether to stage the 1994 Goodwill Games, scheduled to take place in Moscow and Leningrad, after reviewing the financial results of this year’s games, Turner said.
