Share

A meeting has been scheduled Aug. 4 to allow the public to comment on a proposed renovation of facilities at Malibu’s Zuma Beach.

Ted Reed, director of the Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors, said the meeting will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Malibu Community Center, 6995 Fernhill Drive.

Planners will be on hand to hear comments and suggestions for the proposed renovation, which is to be paid for with funds from a state bond act approved in 1988. Officials have said they hope to start work within a year. The renovation is expected to take about a year to complete, they said.
