STANTON : Fire Damages Six Apartment Units
A fire accidently started by two plumbers repairing pipes in an apartment building on Sunday damaged six units, authorities said. No injuries were reported.
More than 50 firefighters worked for over an hour to contain the blaze, which began at 7:14 p.m. at 12241 Arrowhead Street and caused about $50,000 damage, Orange County Fire Spokeswoman Kathleen Cha said.
About 35 residents of the two-story apartment complex were evacuated when the fire, which started on the first floor, traveled up the walls of the building and to the roof.
