Martina Navratilova and Chris Evert will play each other in an exhibition match Sept. 19 in Jakarta, Indonesia. The promoter said today that the two also will team for a doubles match against two Indonesian men and give an instructional clinic.

Canadian heavyweight contender Razor Ruddock’s fight with Kimmuel Odum was rescheduled on today for Aug. 19 at Harrah’s Marina Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, N.J. The bout orginally was set for July 1, but was postponed because of a hand injury to Ruddock, whose record is 24-1-1, with 17 knockouts. Odum, of Gary, Ind., is 13-3 with 12 knockouts.

Belgian cyclist Michel Dernies took the lead in the Tour of Britain today. Dernies and defending champion Robert Millar of Scotland reached the finishing circuit more than two minutes ahead of their 10 closest pursuers in the third stage.

Former Detroit Red Wing Petr Klima has pleaded guilty in Detroit to four misdemeanor charges stemming from a 1989 drunk driving arrest. Klima is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 23. He faces a maximum two years in prison.
