Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan will play...
Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan will play for the same team in tonight’s Midsummer Night’s Magic fifth annual all-star charity game at the Forum.
Johnson will coach one team and Isiah Thomas the other, but Magic had the first draft choice in the game, which has raised more than $1 million for the United Negro College Fund.
“I drafted Michael,” Johnson said. “I’m not a dumb general manager.”
Joining Magic and Jordan will be Kevin Johnson, Kurt Rambis, Rolando Blackman, Trent Tucker, Charles Smith, Jerome Kersey, Charles Oakley and Shawn Kemp. On the other side will be Thomas, Dominique Wilkins, Danny Manning, Spud Webb, Mark Aguirre, Reggie Miller, Mark Jackson, Wayman Tisdale, Rex Chapman and Herb Williams.
