Palmdale Judge Picked for Appellate Court

Gov. George Deukmejian will nominate a Palmdale judge to serve as associate justice of the 2nd Appellate District, Division 5, the governor’s office announced Monday.
Judge Margaret M. Grignon, 39, the first and only woman Superior Court judge in the Antelope Valley, will be named to replace Justice Paul Turner.
Turner has been nominated to be presiding justice of the division.
Deukmejian appointed Grignon to the Antelope Valley Municipal Court in 1984 and to the Los Angeles County Superior Court in 1987.
Grignon, her husband and two children have lived in the Antelope Valley for seven years.
