The victim of a fatal stabbing Tuesday afternoon in Balboa Park has been identified through a fingerprint check, police reported Thursday.
Martin Alvarado Lugo, 26, died after witnesses saw him fight with Dario Molina-Castro, 27, a undocumented alien transient being held in connection with the slaying, police said.
Police say they have no address for Lugo, who apparently was stabbed with a screwdriver.
Lugo’s body was found Tuesday in Balboa Park near Park Boulevard and Presidents Way. Molina-Castro was arrested shortly after the stabbing at Park and Russ boulevards, police spokesman David Cohen said.
