Skeeter Hopes to Make Amends
Ultra-consistent Skeeter tries to make amends for the lowest finish in her 17-race career Thursday night at Los Alamitos when the Chilean-bred mare meets eight other distaffers in the $50,000-added Chapman Handicap at 6 1/2 furlongs.
Trained by Hector Palma, Skeeter couldn’t get untracked in the 4 1/2 furlong Modjeska Handicap July 31 and finished fifth, four lengths back of longshot Conclaire.
