Beverly Hills : Tree-Trimming Plan OKd

The city, which spends $2.5 million each year maintaining its famed tree-lined streets, will soon start work on a tree-trimming program involving nearly 600 ficus and callistemon trees.
The city’s Finance Department has recommended approval of a $73,000 bid from a private contractor for the work. A lower bid was rejected after it was determined that the tree-trimmer did not have a license, according to city officials.
