An El Cajon man who killed his ex-wife, her 5-month-old fetus, and two of her neighbors in 1988 was sentenced Friday to 52 years to life in state prison.
Aristeo Hernandez, 30, was convicted July 13 on four second-degree murder counts.
Teresa Hernandez, 24, was shot and killed Nov. 16, 1988, in her Lakeside apartment. The bullet that went through her side also resulted in the death of her 5-month-old male fetus.
Because both she and the fetus died from the same gunshot wound, Superior Court Judge J. Perry Langford did not impose a separate 15 year to life term for the fetus’ death.
