SHORT TAKES : Film Wins Upgrade From X to R

“In the Cold of the Night,” a suspense thriller directed by Nico Mastorakis for Omega Entertainment, has been upgraded by the Motion Picture Assn. of America from an X rating to an R.
Omega had entered a legal action to overturn the MPAA rating given the film after its initial screening. Omega also had appealed for a second hearing to take place in New York.
Originally, the MPAA demanded that three scenes totaling four minutes be deleted from the film. The disputants finally settled for the deletion of two shots of a love scene.
