ON A ROLL: Bus ridership in Orange County has increased by nearly one-third over the last two fiscal years, the county transit district reported Monday, saying environmental concerns, high employment and “good quality service” were the reasons. . . . But will the trend continue? Probably, because the Middle East crisis will make automobile fuel more expensive. The bad news? Some rush-hour buses are so packed that riders must sometimes wait for a second bus.
