Share

The Glendale City Council will discuss key issues facing the city during the coming year at a retreat in Oxnard on Friday and Saturday.

The event will mark the third consecutive year that the council and the city staff have met away from the city in a forum free from the interruptions that occur at City Hall. The retreat sessions, which are open to the public, will be held at the Mandalay Beach Resort, 2101 Mandalay Beach Road, Oxnard.

Between 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Friday, the council is scheduled to discuss traffic and parking issues, waste management and community beautification. From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, the council will consider hillside fire prevention, open space acquisition, growth management, reclaimed water usage and fiscal planning.
