Nero fiddled while Rome burned. President Bush vacations instead of exploring the possibility of a negotiated resolution of the Mideast crisis and organizing an effective United Nations force to put teeth into the agreement.
What happens to the oil supply and prices when Hussein bombs the Saudi Arabian facilities and we bomb Iraq’s? If the United Nations, including other Arab nations, contain Saddam Hussein where he is, what else are we fighting for? Before it is too late, hadn’t we better ask ourselves what it is we get for what it costs in lives if we go to war?
