ORANGE : Police Identify Slaying Victim
Police on Monday identified Antonio Morales of Santa Ana as the man who died last weekend after being shot in the chest, allegedly by his roommate.
Police believe that Jose Sandoval was the one who shot Morales, 23, on Saturday night in an apartment at 117 E. Mayfair Ave.
According to witnesses, both men had been arguing just before the shooting. Police have not determined what the men were fighting about.
Investigators believe that Sandoval has fled with his 13-year-old child. He was last seen driving away from the apartment in a dark blue 1979 Ford Granada two-door with yellow flames on the side and a license plate of 164 YIS.
Sandoval, 55, has brown eyes and brown hair with a distinctive mustache that curves downward on either side of his mouth, police said.
