OAKLAND —
The Oakland Athletics, trying to add power to the lineup, acquired four-time All-Star Harold Baines from the Texas Rangers Wednesday for two players to be named later.
Baines, 31, was batting .290 with 13 home runs and 44 RBIs in 103 games for Texas. He started 95 games at designated hitter and two in the outfield.
Henderson, Oakland’s center fielder, underwent knee surgery last Friday and is out four to six weeks.
