VENTURA : Head-On Crash Kills 80-Year-Old Man
An 80-year-old Ventura man died Tuesday morning when his car collided head-on on Main Street with a car carrying tourists from West Germany, officials said.
The man’s name is being withheld pending notification of relatives, said Deputy Coroner Mitch Breese of the Ventura County coroner’s office.
The man, who died at the medical center, was traveling west in the 1300 block of Main Street about 10:54 a.m. when his car struck the West Germans’ car traveling east.
