Kings Acquire Goaltender in Deal With North Stars : Hockey: Daniel Berthiaume is coming to Los Angeles in exchange for left wing Craig Duncanson.

The Minnesota North Stars today sent goaltender Daniel Berthiaume to Los Angeles in exchange for left wing Craig Duncanson.

The deal was one of three trades the Minnesota club announced today.

Duncanson was then sent to Winnipeg in exchange for center Brian Hunt.

And left wing Dave MacKey was sent to Vancouver for future considerations.

Berthiaume was acquired from Winnipeg earlier this year. He played in five games, posting a 1-3-0 record wiht a 3.50 GAA.

Duncanson spent mot of least season with New Haven, a minor league club, playing only 10 games with the Kings.

Hunt, Winnipeg’s fourth choice, 73rd overall, in the 1988 entry draft, played with Moncton last season, collecting 4 goals, 11 assists for 15 points and 19 penalty minutes.

Hunt, 21, played the previous three years for Oshawa of the Ontario Hockey League.

Bob Clarke, Minnesota general manager, said Hunt is expected to report to the North Stars’ training camp at Kalamazoo, Mich., next Wednesday.

The trades left the North Stars’ training camp roster at 67. Players participating in the Soviet Union exhibition tour report to camp Friday in Bloomington.

MacKey, who lives in Vancouver, joined the North Stars via the 1989 waiver draft. He played 16 games, scoring 2 goals and collecting 28 penalty minutes.
