Share

T.K.’s Skipper, the fastest aged pacer of all time, will contest the second leg of the American Pacing Classic on Saturday at Los Alamitos.

The 5-year-old will be trained in California by Joe Anderson for New Jersey-based Nick Sodano. Anderson, the leading driver at the Orange County track, will pilot the world champion Saturday night in the field of nine. The race will be carded as the ninth on the program.

In his last outing, Sept. 1, T.K.’s Skipper clocked a mile in 1:49 2/5 at DuQuoin, Ill., in a time trial effort, to become the fastest aged pacer in harness history.

The winner of the first leg of the series, Riviera Hanover, will return to face T.K.’s Skipper. Returning from a bout with a virus will be the Robert Gordon-trained Speedy Alba, who registered four wins in a row at Sacramento and Los Alamitos before calling in sick on Sept. 1.
