Principal Bonuses and School Tax Hike
Re the Capistrano Unified School District and Measure A (“Bonus Pay for Principals to Get Tax Hike Alleged,” Aug. 25): Teachers worked hard on their own time to write letters supporting Proposition 98, which attempted to secure funds for all levels of education in California, and did not expect, nor were they offered, bonuses from their school board.
How many citizens will feel good about sending their children to a school where administrators receive illegal bonuses, while top-paid teachers make $20,000 less?
On Nov. 4 please show your school district incumbents that they are accountable for every meager state education dime.
This money must go to the teachers and students, not administrators, “consultants” and lawyers!
