Few Mid-Sized Firms Plan Capital Spending Cuts: Three-quarters of mid-sized American manufacturers plan to spend as much or more on plant and equipment in 1991 as they did this year, the New York consulting firm Grant Thornton said. Only one in five manufacturers with annual sales of $10 million to $200 million plans to cut capital spending, Thornton said.
