GenCorp: The aerospace and technology company reported that net income for the third quarter was at the break-even point, contrasted with $71 million during the same period last year. Revenue for the quarter was $463 million, up 9% from the same period in 1989. The Fairlawn, Ohio-based company said it showed increased earnings in the automotive segment but registered higher costs in its propulsion and latex divisions. Last year’s third quarter reflected $65 million from discontinued operations.
