NEWPORT BEACH : Traffic Workshop to Be Held Tonight
The second in a series of public workshops on traffic problems and congestion in the central Newport area is scheduled for tonight at 7 p.m. in the Fire Department conference room behind City Hall.
The workshop is part of the city’s effort to get suggestions from residents and business owners on how to alleviate traffic problems on Balboa peninsula between 8th and B streets.
The City Council has hired a traffic consultant to investigate congestion in the central Newport area. Joe Faust, the Santa Ana-based consultant hired for the work, said anyone interested should attend the meetings to help ensure that city planners draw up a solution that wins approval of both business owners and residents.
