FOUNTAIN VALLEY : Businessman Held in Alleged Assault
A Fountain Valley business owner went to the homes of two former employees Tuesday and threatened each with a gun, police said.
According to Fountain Valley Police Lt. Mike Hanrahan, Robert Armond, 32, owner of Discount Towing, confronted one of the teen-agers and brought him to the home of the second a few doors away in the 9400 block of Jasmine Avenue. He then accused them of stealing a safe that contained an undisclosed sum of money, Hanrahan said.
Armond allegedly pointed the gun at the second man but aimed to the side and hit a wall.
Armond was arrested at the scene and was being held in County Jail Tuesday night on $50,000 bail for assault with a deadly weapon, burglary and kidnaping, Hanrahan said.
