Share

The Santa Monica College Photography Gallery, the only public gallery in the Los Angeles area devoted exclusively to the photographic arts, has received a $2,323 grant from the California Arts Council.

The money will be used to help operate the gallery and expand efforts to reach out to minority and other communities to increase attendance and participation in gallery programs, said Robert Godwin, gallery director.

The gallery, which opened in 1988 and is located in the college’s library foyer, has exhibited a wide range of works of renowned artists from around the world.
