COSTA MESA : Council Candidates to Speak at Forums

Candidates seeking two City Council seats in the Nov. 6 election will discuss their ideas for city government and answer questions at two candidates’ forums scheduled this month.
The Costa Mesa Chamber of Commerce will hold a forum at 7 p.m. Oct. 16 in the City Council Chambers, 77 Fair Drive. The last forum scheduled for this month will be at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 30 at the Neighborhood Community Center and is sponsored by the Costa Mesa Mobile Homes Assn.
The five candidates for the positions are Mayor Peter F. Buffa, Councilman Orville Amburgey and challengers Jay Humphrey, Karen McGlinn and Arlene Shafer.
