Man Pleads Not Guilty in Murder of Wife
A La Canada Flintridge man on Wednesday pleaded not guilty to a charge that he murdered his wife. Don Miralle, 46, was arrested Oct. 3 after authorities learned that a burned body found in a remote area of the desert near Victorville was that of his wife, Tessie, 49.
Don Miralle, a civil engineer and father of three teen-agers, provided the X-rays that were used by coroner’s investigators to identify the body.
A preliminary hearing is set for Oct. 18 in Victorville Municipal Court. Miralle is being held on $500,000 bail at the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino.
