The networks will battle it out Sunday night with three new TV movies about murder, mystery and marriage.

With no baseball scheduled until the World Series begins next Tuesday, CBS (2)(8) will air “Murder Times Seven” Sunday at 9 p.m. Richard Crenna reprises his role as New York detective Frank Janek, who investigates a mass murder only to be hampered by one of the victims’ ex-wife.

NBC (4)(36)(39) counters with “A Quiet Little Neighborhood, a Perfect Little Murder,” a goofy little suspense comedy starring Teri Garr and Robert Urich.

ABC (7)(3)(10)(42), meanwhile, offers “In Defense of a Married Man.” In this courtroom drama, a man (Michael Ontkean) accused of murdering his mistress is defended by his wife (Judith Light).

At the same hour Sunday, Channel 9 offers “The Next Disaster--Are You Prepared?” This one-hour special, hosted by Robert Conrad, is designed to help viewers survive the next earthquake, flood, tornado or fire by presenting footage of past tragedies like Hurricane Hugo and last year’s Bay Area earthquake, with advice on how to handle such emergencies.
