Arsenio Hall Sued by Fired Manager
Arsenio Hall was sued today by his former personal manager, who accuses the late night talk show host of firing him after he helped build the entertainer’s career.
Bob Wachs alleges that despite the great wealth and fame Hall has enjoyed under his counsel, he was fired because the entertainer no longer wanted to share success with one of the people who made it possible.
Hall’s publicist was unavailable for immediate comment on the lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.
“After Bob Wachs helped make Arsenio Hall one of the richest entertainers in the world, Arsenio has refused to live up to his legal and moral obligations,” his attorney, Howard Weitzman, said in a prepared statement.
The suit alleges breach of oral contract, bad faith denial of contractual obligations, breach of fiduciary duty and fraud, Weitzman said.
