A 10-year-old girl was raped by a 13-year-old boy in her North Park home Thursday afternoon, police said.
The attacker, who was still at large Thursday night, “is known to authorities,” said Sgt. Fred England, a spokesman for the San Diego Police Department.
The assault occurred about 4:15 p.m. in the girl’s home on Dale Street, near Balboa Park.
The girl was taken to Children’s Hospital for treatment, and the extent of her injuries was unknown, England said.
A spokesman for Children’s declined comment Thursday night.
