Ventura Freeway Lanes to Be Closed for Paving
Caltrans announced Thursday that there will be lane closures this weekend on the Ventura Freeway in the Sherman Oaks area to permit asphalt paving.
From 11 tonight to 9 a.m. Saturday, as many as three westbound lanes will be closed between Hayvenhurst and Wilbur avenues.
From 11 p.m. Saturday to 11 a.m. Sunday, up to three eastbound lanes will be closed between Kester Avenue and the Tujunga Wash.
Also, the eastbound Van Nuys Boulevard on-ramp will be closed Saturday night.
Travelers are encouraged to use Ventura Boulevard as an alternate, officials said.
The closures are part of a $62-million project to widen the Ventura and Hollywood freeways from Universal City to Agoura Hills.
