COSTA MESA : OCC Will Examine Halloween Candy
Orange Coast College is offering to examine Halloween candy brought into the radiology lab after the tricks and treats are delivered next week.
An X-ray machine will be able to detect harmful objects, such as razor blades, glass and other sharp objects that can be placed in Halloween candy, said OCC radiology program director Lorraine Henry.
Parents can bring candy to Room 103 of OCC’s Center for Applied Sciences Building on Thursday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Students enrolled in the radiology program will examine the candy.
