Pasadena Expo for Aspiring Songwriters
Los Angeles Songwriters Showcase’s 14th Songwriters Expo today and Sunday at the Pasadena Convention Center will include a variety of panels and seminars covering the creative and commercial aspects of songwriting.
In addition, the event will feature a series of song evaluations, lyric evaluations and Pitch-A-Thons, in which demo cassettes--in various country to rock and R&B; categories--will be evaluated by publishers, producers, managers and record company representatives.
“The expo,” said John Braheny, a former musician-songwriter and co-founder and director of the nonprofit showcase, “compresses the work that we do in our year-round seminars and pitch sessions into one, concentrated weekend of activity.”
