Back in the Saddle: Singing cowboy Roy Rogers was walking and eager to hit the trail again Tuesday after undergoing surgery to repair his aorta, his son said. Rogers, 79, got out of bed Monday and walked without assistance for the first time since the surgery Oct. 21, said Roy (Dusty) Rogers Jr. Rogers was admitted to St. Mary Desert Valley Hospital on Oct. 20 and underwent surgery to correct an aneurysm. Roy Rogers starred in 87 Westerns, including 35 with his wife, Dale Evans, and recently recorded a country-Western album in Nashville.
