In case St. Louis was wondering about the masked man who ended its seven-game unbeaten streak, it was Boston’s Cam Neely.

He wasn’t riding a white horse, but he was sporting a broken nose that was operated on last weekend. Wearing a protective shield to protect it, Neely scored his sixth and seventh goals of the season as the Bruins beat the Blues, 3-2. in overtime at Boston Thursday night. Neely scored the game-winner at 3:14 of overtime.

Neely knocked a St. Louis player off the puck in the Boston zone and began a two-on-one breakaway with Bob Carpenter.

Boston outshot St. Louis, 22-12, in the second period, but the Blues (8-4-1) took command in the third, outshooting the Bruins by an 11-3 margin. However, the Bruins went on the attack again in overtime, outshooting St. Louis, 4-1.
