A San Diego bar owner was arrested and her business shut down by undercover narcotics agents who made drug buys out of her 16th Street bar, police said.

Narcotics agents from the San Diego Police Department and the state’s Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control seized 84.75 grams of marijuana and $1,614 in cash from the Nayarit Bar at 71 16th St. about 7:30 p.m. Thursday, police spokesman Bill Robinson said.

Earlier in the evening--before they served their search warrant--agents had made four drug buys in the bar and observed several similar transactions taking place, he said.

Bar owner Cecelia Suarez, 44, was arrested and held at the Las Colinas Jail in Santee on narcotics charges, Robinson said. Agents from the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control closed the bar after Suarez’s arrest, he said.

A search of Suarez’s home in the 100 block of 29th Street uncovered more than 11 pounds of marijuana, $1,260 in cash and two handguns, Robinson said. Agents also arrested Reyna Grageda, 29, at the 29th Street house, and she was held at the Las Colinas Jail on narcotics charges, he said.
