Sheriff’s Race

Share

For five years, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department has been operating more like a circus than a truly accredited law enforcement agency. The department has benn plagued with investigations by the county Grand Jury regarding jail brutality, escapes from jail and questionable shootings.

During this time, John Duffy appointed Jack Drown and three others as assistant sheriffs. Their responsibilities were to oversee the affairs of the department in law enforcement, detentions and training.

Now I ask: Where were they these past few years? Did they have their heads buried in the sand or were they afraid to speak up against Duffy the dictatorship? It seems that Sheriff Duffy appointed the wrong men to fill these positions.

I urge the public to see through all the endorsements by the Good Ol’ Boys voting for Jack Drown. Put an end to Duffy’s kingdom and vote Jim Roache for sheriff, a man beholden to no one.
