La Verne : Gatehouse to Move to Park
The city will move a gatehouse donated by the Mountain Springs Estates Homeowners Assn. to the site of the planned North La Verne Park for a combination restroom and storage area.
Bu using the house instead of constructing a building for about $102,421, as was originally intended, the city will save $35,621 and get a larger facility, Parks Manager Mark Adams said. Assistant City Manager Jeff Allred said the move to the park site at Wheeler Avenue and Via De Mansion should be completed within a few months.
