THE SIDELINES : Moe Not Eager to Coach Again
Doug Moe, fired two months ago as coach of the Denver Nuggets, says he has found peace and happiness in everyday life and doubts he will ever return to coaching.
“I don’t think I’ll ever coach again,” Moe said Thursday. “I was around basketball for so long as a player and a coach. It was my life from the time I was a kid. It may sound strange, but I don’t miss it. Of course, I can say no, no, no, but there may come a time when I do miss it, and I’ll have to see what develops. But, personally, I had a good run. I’m just enjoying living.”
Moe said the only way he might return to coaching would be “if it was one of those offers you can’t refuse, and I can’t think of any offers I couldn’t refuse.”
