Syracuse must defeat West Virginia to land a berth in the Eagle Aloha Bowl on Christmas Day, but it appears the Orangemen may have to attempt that task without three starters.

Tailback David Walker and guard Terrence Wisdom are “questionable” because of bruised thighs, and defensive tackle Frank Conover isn’t expected to rejoin the team until late this week because of the death of his father Saturday.

Walker and Wisdom were injured during Tulane’s 26-24 upset victory Saturday in Syracuse.

Freshman tailback Terry Richardson and redshirt freshman Marcus Lee will split time in the backfield if Walker, the team’s leading rusher with 684 yards on 141 carries, isn’t able to play, MacPherson said.
