Dig That Set: A buried ancient Egyptian city used for the production of Cecil B. DeMille’s 1923 silent epic “The Ten Commandments” may soon be exposed to the light of day. A grant from the Bank of America to Hollywood Heritage Inc., a preservation society, may be used to excavate the City of the Pharaoh set that DeMille had dismantled and buried after filming was completed in Santa Maria. The set--110 feet high and 750 feet wide--is believed to be the largest ever built.
