Mother Is Accused of Abusing Her Son, 3
An anonymous tip led authorities to arrest a 21-year-old woman on suspicion of felony child abuse Wednesday at an El Cajon apartment complex.
Officer Tom Lloyd took Lisa Marie Goodman into custody after her 2-year-old son was found to have burns on his fingers and toes, allegedly caused by Goodman using a cigarette lighter to punish him, according to Cassie Ruiz, an El Cajon police service worker.
Goodman was booked at the Las Colinas Jail in Santee, Ruiz said. The child was taken into protective custody at the county’s Hillcrest Receiving Home.
